About The Position

Aspirus MedEvac in Rhinelander, WI is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team! The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible for providing safe, comprehensive care to critically ill and/or injured patients of all ages. Care is provided in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transports by understanding and applying the specialized principles and techniques of transport practice, emergency procedures and diagnostics. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus! Hours: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 12-hour shifts, 2on 2off, 3on 2off schedule.

Requirements

• Completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Completion of a National Registry or state approved educational program for EMT.
• Possess an active Wisconsin and Michigan EMT license or obtain dual license within 120 days of hire.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Possess a valid driver's license in the state of residency.
• Current EMT National Registry licensure preferred.
• Certified Emergency Vehicle Operations (CEVO) or Emergency Vehicle Operating Certification (EVOC) or training.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive care to critically ill and/or injured patients.
• Deliver care in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transports.
• Understand and apply specialized principles and techniques of transport practice.
• Implement emergency procedures and diagnostics.
