About The Position

The EMS Training Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of EMS training programs in alignment with district-wide training objectives and student success initiatives. This role involves establishing and maintaining relationships with district customers, ensuring compliance with governing body certifications, and overseeing the strategic planning and assessment of EMS training programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an associate's degree in a related field.
  • Two years of related public safety (Law Enforcement, EMS, Fire, etc.) and/or medical occupational experience.
  • Occupational experience must have occurred at least 1 year within the last 5 years.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified CPR instructor
  • Certified EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic
  • Experience working in a post-secondary environment with evidence of leadership
  • Project management experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day operations of EMS training programs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with district customers to enhance customer experience and engagement.
  • Provide guidance and oversight in EMS strategic planning and goal setting.
  • Communicate budget objectives and ensure compliance with governing body certifications.
  • Coordinate credentialing and scheduling of EMS classes and instructors in accordance with standards.
  • Serve as the liaison for EMS training and compliance in Northeast Wisconsin.
  • Oversee program certification licensure between Michigan and Wisconsin and ensure annual compliance.
  • Coordinate the development of EMS course delivery services throughout the NWTC District.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all EMS training requests.
  • Coordinate NREMT psychomotor and cognitive exams and credentialing of students.
  • Manage logistics and service of EMS equipment and supplies across the district.
  • Research innovative EMS technology and provide budget recommendations for implementation.
  • Gather feedback from employers regarding district and agency needs through surveys or interviews.
  • Coordinate mobile EMS lab and simulation training throughout the district.
  • Collaborate on marketing initiatives and training materials to promote EMS programs.
  • Participate in career exploration and recruitment events to increase awareness of EMS training.
