About The Position

The Emergency Management Subject Matter Expert 1 will provide evaluation, consultation, and guidance on specialized areas related to emergency management training, contributing to course reviews and audits.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently or under general direction.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• High school diploma required; additional 4 years of experience may substitute for the diploma.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in emergency management or first responder training.
• Familiarity with DHS/FEMA programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation, consultation, guidance, or direction in specialized areas of expertise.
• Consult with project teams, customers, and government officials on process, content, and deliverables.
• Contribute content, identify best practices, and translate subject matter terminology.
• Offer recommendations verbally and in writing.
• Function in an oversight capacity for research projects, educational activities, staff evaluations, and liaison activities.
