About The Position
The Department of the Interior is devoted to protecting and preserving the natural resources of this great nation, including National Parks, Landmarks, and the well-being of communities, including those of Native American, Alaska Natives and affiliated Islanders. This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Department of the Interior (DOI), Office of the Secretary (OS), Office of Emergency Management (OEM), Interior Operations Center (IOC) in Lakewood, CO or Washington, DC. At the full performance level (GS-12) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: monitoring multiple information sources to collect, analyze, verify, prepare and disseminate information to ensure immediate notifications and alerts are made to key personnel regarding significant events that are affecting or could affect DOI facilities and/or personnel.
