In this Emergency Management Specialist (GIS) position, you will serve as an Emergency Management Specialist for Region Five's Mission Support Division/Geographic Information Systems. Typical assignments include performing Geographic Information System program implementation of FEMA initiatives and operations, managing databases and web services, utilizing remote sensing data to support damage assessments and disaster response, producing interactive web map applications and dashboards, compiling data from multiple sources to develop analytical products, briefing customers on Geographic Information System capabilities and activities, utilizing programming languages to automate and streamline workflows, and coordinating efforts with appropriate stakeholders to prevent duplication of effort and promote information sharing.
