The Emergency Management Program Specialist, under general supervision, is responsible for the management of East Texas A&M University’s emergency planning and preparedness, training and exercise, response coordination, communication and public information, mitigation and recovery, compliance and reporting, stakeholder engagement and partnerships, and program management and administration. Duties range from preventative mitigation to assessment reporting as well as other related activities (e.g., training, building proctor, weather monitoring, and after-hours emergency response). The position serves within the East Texas A&M University Police Department. The position ensures compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies, as well as Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) policies and regulations.
