About The Position

Emergency Management Coordinators are responsible for development, administration, and execution of emergency management initiatives for the County. This position involves planning, training, and coordinating emergency response activities to ensure a well-prepared workforce, effective disaster response, and continuity of operations during incidents. Positions will be assigned one of the following primary areas of responsibility: operations, planning, or recovery and mitigation. The position requires extensive independent judgment, initiative, and the ability to lead complex projects aimed at enhancing community resilience. Ability to respond 24/7 and to report to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during an incident is considered an essential function of this position.
