About The Position

The Emergency Management Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating all systems and processes related to Emergency Management for Dartmouth Health's campus and satellite locations. This role ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and state and federal laws, focusing on the four phases of Emergency Management: mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. The coordinator will also oversee emergency drills and exercises, ensuring they are inclusive of all populations and meet regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Safety, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • At least one year of disaster and emergency planning experience or equivalent training and experience.
  • Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP) certification preferred.
  • Completion of FEMA Incident Command System training required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate all systems and processes for Emergency Management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and state and federal laws.
  • Develop and evaluate the four phases of Emergency Management: mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
  • Create and update an all-hazard emergency operations plan, including functional and incident-specific guides.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate emergency drills and exercises, including tabletop and functional events.
  • Coordinate and oversee all campus and satellite activities related to Emergency Management.
