About The Position

We are looking to add an LVT to our talented Emergency department!

Requirements

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
• Strong experience with in-patient care, in-house laboratory operation, venipuncture, and radiology
• Fluent English skills (speaking & reading)
• Dedication to outstanding client service and excellent patient care
• Ability to maintain a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture

Nice To Haves

• Experience with advanced skills such as placing urinary catheters, nasogastric tubes, and maintaining indwelling tubes
• RECOVER certification

Responsibilities

• Venipuncture & IV catheter placement
• Triage & Assess patients/obtain vitals
• Critical thinking
• Providing nursing care/monitoring to hospitalized patients
• Anesthesia, Surgery prep, Patient recovery
• Running in-house lab testing & use of Cubex
• Filling prescriptions/Dispensing oral and iv medications
• Drug administration
• Radiographs
• Provide client education
• ECG monitoring
• Advanced CPR
