Emergency Dept Technician
About The Position
The Emergency Department Technician provides advanced nursing assistive care to patients in the Emergency Department in a variety of ED settings including triage, trauma, and general patient care. Assists the nurse in carrying out a plan of care by completing delegated tasks as assigned, maintaining clinical and technical competencies, and utilizing resources appropriately. Demonstrates exemplary teamwork, critical thinking skills, and communication with other members of the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and quality patient care. Works under the direction of an RN within the ED Technician scope of practice, maintaining professionalism always. Full-time, nights.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- EMT – Any level, Paramedic or LPN active upon hire
- BLS Certification
