The Emergency Department Tech II Full Time Rotating position involves maintaining patient records on the unit, scheduling tests and procedures, transcribing orders, and maintaining supply levels for the unit. The role includes performing basic data collection, identifying deviations, assisting with family requests, and providing direct patient care. This care includes bathing, feeding, accurately obtaining and recording vital signs and patient weights, applying splints, performing EKGs, and obtaining blood sugar finger sticks. The position will require interaction with Registered Nurses (RNs) and/or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).
