About The Position
As an Emergency Department Technician (ERT) at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Emergency Department staff in various patient care activities. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with patient flow, transport, and comfort, ensuring that the unit remains neat and orderly. Your responsibilities will include moving patients using wheelchairs and carts, aiding them with ambulation and positioning, and promptly responding to patient call lights and requests. You will also be responsible for maintaining patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality while performing tasks that are appropriate for the patients' ages and developmental abilities. In addition to direct patient care, you will assist in resuscitation efforts and support nurses with various patient care activities. Documentation is a key part of your role, as you will need to record patient care activities and procedures clearly and accurately on nursing records. You will also be tasked with maintaining the room and unit supplies, which includes restocking supplies, assisting with patient room clean-up, and performing quality control checks on designated equipment. This position requires a commitment to providing compassionate care and ensuring a safe and efficient environment for both patients and staff.
