About The Position
Baptist Medical Center is seeking to add an Emergency Department Technician to our Emergency Department at Wolfson Children's Hospital. This is a full-Time, day shift opportunity. At Baptist Health, a Emergency Department Technician plays a vital role in supporting physicians and nurses by delivering high-quality patient care within the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, performing EKGs, collecting specimens, assisting with patient transport, and maintaining a safe, efficient care environment. Requirements
- An active Florida CNA or EMT license is required for this position.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant Required
- High School Diploma/GED

Responsibilities
- Assisting RNs in the Emergency Department with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including activities of daily living.
- Maintaining a safe environment.
- Collecting lab specimens.
- Intake and Output monitoring.
- Electronic medical record documentation.
- Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
