Emergency Department - ED Tech Full Time 1st Shift Description: ER Tech Part-Time Description: Assist with patient admission, orientation to room and safety features, and securing valuables. Obtain vital signs, apply cardiac monitors, and perform EKG testing Support nurses and providers in patient care, including transfers, discharges, splinting, and wound care. Collect blood, urine, and other specimens following hospital policy. Recognize and report abnormal heart rhythms or vital signs to the care team. Maintain clean, stocked, and safe patient care areas; locate and manage equipment. Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff to promote a positive environment. Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards while participating in required trainings. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Glucometer Training
  • New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous laboratory or customer service experience preferred.
  • Data entry and computer experience and /or phlebotomy, point of care testing experience preferred.
  • Nursing Assistant experience or prior phlebotomy training/experience is preferred
