Responsibilities Emergency Department Technician Advanced is responsible for the assessment and basic management of medical, trauma and environmental emergencies under the supervision of the physician. This position is designed to assist with patient care based on individual patient needs under the direct supervision of the physician and delegation of the RN by providing direct and indirect patient care activities to patients of all age groups. This position will also be responsible for transporting telemetry patients as well as receiving report from field emergency personnel. Patient care will include: physical screening with documentation, BLS, performs phlebotomy, inserts peripheral IV access and administers standard intravenous solutions without additives.
