About The Position

The Emergency Department Tech I Part Time Days is responsible for maintaining patient records on the unit, scheduling tests and procedures, transcribing orders, and maintaining supply levels for the unit. The role involves performing basic data collection, identifying deviations, assisting with family requests, and providing direct patient care. This includes tasks such as bathing, feeding, accurately obtaining and recording vital signs and patient weights, applying splints, performing EKGs, and obtaining blood sugar finger sticks. The position requires interaction with Registered Nurses (RNs) and/or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six months of work experience.
• Completion of Nursing Assistant Course or currently enrolled in a nursing program.
• Current EMT certification.
• CNA, current EMT or Medical Assistant certification required.
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an accredited Nursing Curriculum with the intention to complete a nursing degree required.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
• CPI certification within orientation.
