Emergency Department Registered Nurse Night Shift Per Diem
About The Position
Manages individualized, outcome oriented nursing care through the use of the nursing process. Provides care, treatment and services through the successful coordination and completion of a series of processes that include assessment, planning care, providing care, in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Commits to working a minimum of 48 hours, with at least 24 hours worked during a night and/or weekend per 4 week schedule. Also works 2 major holidays (1 summer and 1 winter).
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Previous Acute Care RN experience preferred
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Depending on department Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, Emergency Response Training Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification may be required
- 48hrs/4 week schedule, 6 shifts, 8hr shifts 11p-7:30am, including 1 weekend commitment both Saturday and Sunday
- ACLS (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
- INSTRUCTOR- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
- INSTRUCTOR- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
- OB- Emergency Response Training (ERT) - SSH Education & Training
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
- RN-Registered Nurse - Board of Registration in Nursing (Massachusetts)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) - TCAR Education Programs
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) - Emergency Nurses Association - (ENA)
