About The Position

As an Emergency Room Physician or Adequately Trained MLP at Mayers, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional emergency medical care to our patients. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of emergency medical conditions and injuries, providing critical care in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise and dedication will be essential in ensuring the well-being and recovery of our patients.

Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine or other Board Certification with adequate ER experience.
• Current, unrestricted California medical license.
• BLS, ACLS, ATLS and PALS certification.
• Proven experience working in an emergency room setting.
• Able to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-stress situations.
• Empathy and a commitment to providing compassionate care.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Team player and ability to work collaboratively.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and high-quality emergency medical care to patients presenting with a wide variety of medical conditions and injuries.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, CT scans, and laboratory work.
• Administer necessary medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, other physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
• Provide guidance and supervision to nursing staff and other clinical personnel.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation.
• Adhere to all applicable medical and ethical standards and guidelines.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in emergency medicine through continuous education and training.
