Riverside Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Labor Pool Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester , Virginia . 🌟 Why Riverside? Riverside Walter Reed Hospital is a 67-bed hospital with an 11-bed emergency department serving over 25,000 patients annually. The hospital is a DNV accredited Primary Stroke Center and a Chest Pain Center certified by the American College of Cardiology.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (Doctor of Medicine) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) from an accredited institution
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
Current, valid medical license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or eligibility to obtain one)
Active DEA registration
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Providing patient care services as part of a collaborative healthcare team
Performing comprehensive history and physical assessments
Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic labs and tests
Developing and evaluating individualized treatment plans
Prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions
Coordinating specialty referrals and consultations
Recognizing and responding to emergent situations with life-saving interventions
Educating patients and families on health maintenance
Advocating patients’ rights and diverse needs
Participating in clinic meetings and daily safety huddles
Engaging in continuing medical education and professional development
Demonstrating leadership, mentorship, and evidence-based practice
Maintaining regulatory compliance and documentation standards
