What You'll Do Examine patients, perform comprehensive physical examinations and compiles patient medical data including health history and results of examinations. Works in collaboration with physicians to assess the physical needs of patients seen in the Emergency Department Orders, interprets and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians and other departments. Collaborates with hospitalists and specialists regarding transfers and admissions when appropriate. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. In addition to primary duties and responsibilities in the Emergency Department Participates in quality assurance planning, initiatives and improvement projects. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Who We're Looking For Active American Heart Association ACLS and PALS certifications are required upon hire and must be maintained throughout GRHD employment. ATLS certification is preferred but not required. 3 to 5 years working experience in an Emergency Department and/or clinical setting in a similar role preferred. Physician Assistant: Requires graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Active Colorado Physician Assistant licensure required. National Physician Assistant certification through NCCPA preferred. Master’s Degree in area of specialty preferred. Nurse Practitioner: Requires active Colorado Licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in area of specialty based on RN licensure and Colorado authority for advanced practice. Requirements
