About The Position

MercyOne North Iowa- Emergency Medicine Nocturnist shift- 7pm-7am Level III Trauma Center 25,000 visits/year Full-service hospital with a 24/7 Hospitalist program, air medical and ambulance services, CT/MRI in the department, bed-side ultrasound, and point-of-use supplies in every room 42 hours of physician coverage/day Tertiary center with 300+ physicians & specialist support to keep patients in house- Trauma surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, GI, ENT, Pediatric Hospitalists, OBGYN, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Neurology, Infectious Disease, Ortho Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Anesthesia, Radiology, etc. Only transfers out < 1% of patients Practice at one site! Teaching opportunity- residents, med-students, PA/ARNP students.

Requirements

• Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school.
• Completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible.
• Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license.
• Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
• Above average communication skills.
• Ability to work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care during nocturnist shifts from 7pm to 7am.
• Collaborate with a team of over 300 physicians and specialists.
• Participate in teaching opportunities for residents, medical students, and PA/ARNP students.
• Utilize hospital resources including CT/MRI, bedside ultrasound, and point-of-use supplies.

• Base salary: $436,176 ($233/hour) plus incentives.
