The Emergency Department Coder position at MemorialCare is primarily responsible for applying codes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) for all Emergency Room type accounts. The coder will ensure that code assignment is based on the ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting and CPT. This role is crucial in maintaining the accuracy of data elements required by the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI).
