Employment Status : Full-Time Working Hours : 36 hours a week (72 hours per pay period) Shift: 3rd Shift (6 p.m. - 6 a.m.) ; Every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday rotation. Position Reports to : Emergency Department Director Department Description: Wilson Health's Emergency Department is a 20 bed ED unit with 14 cardiac monitored beds. The Emergency Department at Wilson Health has received national recognition for exceptionally quick treat release times for patients. Job Summary: The Emergency Department Charge Registered Nurse is responsible for specific management responsibilities and for providing prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill, injured, convalescent, and disabled persons in the hospital. He/she is responsible for the evaluation and prioritizing of activities to meet the changing needs of the department. If the assigned Charge Nurse is unavailable, another RN who is qualified as charge will assume the role.
