Competitive pay with shift differentials Robust Benefits Package The Emergency Department at ChristianaCare Union Hospital is seeking a Emergency Department CNA 2 We are currently hiring for a Full Time Sr. CNA to work part time24 hours per Week/48 bi-weekly, Day shift for the Emergency Department Unit at Cecil Campus - Union Hospital. 12-hour Shifts are from Day 9:00am - 9:30pm. Rotating Weekends and Holidays as per department guidelines. Attach resume and recommended cover letter for consideration. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Demonstrates skills and knowledge vital to deliver care appropriate to patients in various stages of development. Performs assigned nursing duties for the comfort and well-being of patients. Responds to patient crisis and initiates interventions within the scope of responsibilities and notifies RN. Job duties include, but not limited to, performing, and accurately recording vital signs, Accu-checks, bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobilizing patients. Performs successful finger sticks on patients, following all standard laboratory safety policies. Performs defined procedures on point of care instrumentation and EKGs. Following established policies and procedures, additional duties may include phlebotomy venipuncture. Responds with promptness, compassion, and interest to needs of patients. Order entry into Meditech Communicates to patients, employees, and physicians using courteous verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates proficiency using required computer skills to document in the electronic medical record. Performs Unit Clerk duties such as, answering phones, entering charges, calling provider consults, setting up patient transportation, assisting staff with clerical needs and audits and coordinates maintenance of unit supplies. Scheduling and frequent contact with Provider offices. Completes required in-service education. Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients, and visitors. Performs other related duties as required.
