About The Position

UC Health is seeking a Communications Specialist – Emergency Transport (CERT) to join our Air Care & Mobile Care team. This vital role serves as the first point of contact in coordinating emergency, critical care, and non-emergency medical transport, ensuring efficient communication and safe delivery of services to patients via air and ground transport. The Specialist is responsible for triaging incoming calls, dispatching transport teams, maintaining real-time vehicle tracking, and facilitating communication between medical teams, EMS, referral facilities, and aviation vendors. This role directly contributes to the safety and quality of our patient transport services and plays a key part in disaster response coordination across the Greater Cincinnati region.

Requirements

  • Experience in emergency medical services or a related field.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with medical transport protocols.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a dispatch or communications role.
  • Knowledge of the Greater Cincinnati area and its medical facilities.
