  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE), BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS), Certified Nursing Assistant License (CNA LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL), Licensed Practical Nurse (PN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
  • Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • No experience required.
  • Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) with certifications for EKG and Phlebotomy program; or LPN with EKG and Phlebotomy certifications, Patient Care Associate with EKG and Phlebotomy certifications or Emergency Medical Technician Program.

Responsibilities

  • Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating.
  • Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including but not limited to monitoring vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, taking blood glucose measurements, splinting, wound care and recording intake and output.
  • Documents and communicates all attempted and/ or completed procedures to the nursing/medical staff.
  • Performs technical procedures as delegated, including but not limited to establishing and discontinuing Peripheral IV access, and transporting patients.
  • Assists with keeping patient rooms/areas stocked, clean and orderly.
  • Reports abnormal assessment findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
