About The Position

The Emergency Care Center Technician will perform a variety of functions in support and care of patients requiring urgent or emergency care in the emergency medical setting. Under the supervision of licensed personnel, the technician will perform specific assigned duties in providing patient care in accordance with established SRH, ECC, and Nursing Services Policy/Procedure/Protocols and Standards of Care. The role includes assisting in maintaining supplies, repairing, and safely operating work-related equipment. The technician will communicate findings as indicated to appropriate person(s) and serve as a resource person for other SRH team members to resolve work-related or patient care issues. Additionally, the technician will perform any other job-related duties as requested by the Department Manager, ECC Supervisor, Charge/Lead Nurse, or Departmental Director.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current S.C. Nurse Aid Certification OR passed fundamentals in RN/LPN school OR completed Surg Tech OR EMT course OR completed 2 year Health Science Technology Program.
• 6 months experience as a PCT at SRH.
• BLS certified.
