This role coordinates social services activities for the corps, involving client interviews to identify problems, determine assistance needed, and provide direct aid or referrals to appropriate agencies. The position provides direct assistance and/or referrals based on established criteria and assesses families with minor children for eligibility in the Pathway of Hope (POH) program. The Case Manager delivers POH services using a strength-based case management model to families seeking to break cycles of crisis. Additionally, the role is responsible for managing the food pantry, including transferring food from donation locations to The Salvation Army’s food pantry. This position requires considerable contact with the general public and other agencies.
