Kennametal's Emerging Leadership Program EMERGE, Kennametal's early-career leadership development program, is focused on building emerging leaders within Kennametal through diverse experiences to expand their perspectives, develop functional expertise, and accelerate career development. EMERGE will equip participants with leadership, professional, and technical skills necessary to drive performance and integration among business functions. This immersive program is 2 years in duration with diverse functional rotations within Kennametal's Operations, Technology, or Commercial business tracks. Participants must be willing to relocate or travel during the program. Post completion of the program, position placement will be into a role based on your strengths and interests, as well as business need at that time.

Requirements

  • Completing final academic year in a one of the areas of study: STEM, Operational Excellence, Supply Chain, Business, or other related field of study.
  • Strong organization, facilitation, leadership, project management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Candidates with a minimum overall GPA of a 3.2 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in diverse functional rotations within Operations, Technology, or Commercial business tracks.
  • Engage in a 1-week corporate onboarding and assimilation including leadership series, philanthropic activities, introduction to professional development trainings and plant site visits.
  • Participate in a formalized mentorship program with a separate career and peer mentor.
  • Enhance technical, professional and leadership acumen through ongoing learning.
  • Work side-by-side with other professionals at various locations and levels of the organization.
