About The Position

The Emerge Program Associate position at Kennametal is part of the EMERGE early-career leadership development program designed to cultivate emerging leaders through diverse experiences across various business functions. This immersive two-year program includes rotations in Commercial, Operations, or Technology tracks, equipping participants with essential leadership, professional, and technical skills to enhance performance and integration within the organization. Participants will engage in hands-on learning, mentorship, and professional development activities, ultimately leading to a role aligned with their strengths and business needs post-program.

Requirements

• Completing final academic year in Business, Engineering, Operations, Trade/Technical, or Supply Chain.
• Strong organization, facilitation, leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical approach to problem solving.
• Excellent technical coordination and mechanical skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
• Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly for those graduating from a trade/technical program.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.2 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a one-week corporate onboarding and assimilation program.
• Engage in diverse functional rotations within Commercial, Operations, or Technology tracks.
• Actively learn about metal cutting and how Kennametal's products provide technical solutions to customers.
• Understand revenue generation and identify new business growth channels.
• Collaborate with teams in Field Sales, Portfolio Management, Project Management, Marketing, Technology, and Manufacturing.
