About The Position

AnySignal is ushering in the next generation of RF products and services, for the most demanding space and defense missions, AnySignal provides a flexible platform with world-class performance that is easy to deploy, monitor, purchase, and upgrade. Our team has a diverse range of backgrounds that cover cloud computing to artificial intelligence, communications and sensing, embedded systems, and much more. As an EMI/EMC engineer you will lead the development, analysis and test execution to ensure system performance and resilience against electromagnetic environmental effects (E3). You will perform exhaustive analysis, design, and tests at the board, subsystem, and system levels. You will help solve EMI compatibility issues, running root cause investigations and collaborating with electrical, DSP, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to improve the reliability, resilience, and performance of the products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in electromagnetic environmental effects (E3), EMC/EMI engineering or related fields.
  • Experience with radio test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, vector signal generators, and network analyzers.
  • Strong coding/scripting skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
  • Demonstrated experience defining and executing E3 test campaigns

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in electrical engineering, physics, or other engineering discipline.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in electromagnetic environmental effects (E3), EMC/EMI engineering or related fields.
  • Experience with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-1542, FCC radio and EMC standards, and requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting EMI/EMC related issues from component to system level.
  • Strong knowledge of E3 fundamentals, RF engineering, and electrical circuit analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead physics-based requirements definition, modeling and simulation, rather than based on industry standard compliance – a deep understanding of electromagnetic environmental effects is critical.
  • Develop and own E3 analysis, mitigation and test across products, spanning LEO to deep space environments.
  • Design and implement EMI/EMC test campaigns, including requirements flow-down interfacing with external test labs and facilities
  • Drive creation of internal tools, databases, and automated test frameworks for consistent capture and accessibility of effects and mitigations
  • Represent EMI/EMC engineering in design reviews, trade studies, and program milestones
  • Interface with, teach, and collaborate with EE, ME, DSP, software and test engineers to architect robust designs, test and validate systems
