About The Position

The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. Summary The Intern will work at a bovine In Vitro Fertilization laboratory. The intern will be involved in oocyte collection, maturation, fertilization and culture of In-vitro produced embryos in addition to providing overall laboratory support

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year program at an accredited university, working towards a degree in Animal Science, Biology, Zoology, or related field.
• Start date beginning in April or May
• Basic laboratory and troubleshooting skills and analytical ability.
• High regard for quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team and enjoy a team-based environment.
• Highly collaborative, self-motivate, and flexible.
• Good organization, written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance to the embryologist in oocyte collection, maturation, fertilization and culture of In-vitro produced embryos.
• Provides general laboratory support.
