About The Position

Our goal is to help each patient achieve a timely and successful pregnancy. We are seeking an Embryologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of specialized tasks related to embryology and IVF laboratory procedures. You’ll work closely with patient samples, employing your technical skills and precision to support the success of our fertility treatments. Embryologists report directly to the Chief Embryologist and Operational Lab Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with Technical Supervisor (ABB) certification, Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, or a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a team-based environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and move oocytes in follicular fluid using a dissecting microscope.
  • Load embryos into a catheter, assisting the physician with handling and positioning as needed.
  • Conduct daily assessments of patient embryos using an inverted microscope.
  • Use medical-grade laser technology to perform zona ablation on oocytes and embryos.
  • Execute freezing and thawing processes for surplus oocytes and embryos.
  • Label and prepare culture dishes with sterile technique for next-day procedures.
  • Stock supplies, perform quality control tests, maintain lab equipment, and monitor liquid nitrogen storage.
  • Once trained and deemed competent, embryologists do not require supervision for specimen processing, test performance, or result reporting.
