About The Position

The Embedded Systems Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, programming, testing, and troubleshooting a diverse range of computer equipment, graphics/GPU boards, digital I/O cards, DAQ cards, embedded controllers, industrial cameras, directed energy sensing equipment such as x-ray and laser scanners, and other sensors. Leading junior resources in corresponding production support duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• 5+ years of professional industrial experience
• 5+ years of experience with electronics (DAQ/DIO cards, logic probe, oscilloscope, multimeter, embedded controllers, sensors)
• 5+ years of experience with computer hardware (particularly multi-GPU, RAM, SSD, motherboards, power supplies, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience with operating systems installation and administration (Linux, Windows) and network connection and troubleshooting
• 5+ years of experience with C++ and Python and knowledge of creating drivers
• Some experience or knowledge of computer vision/robotics systems components (digital cameras, power supplies, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Rapid Recovery: Troubleshooting with on-call escalation to mitigate system failures, aimed at minimizing downtime and expediting recovery
• Reliability of Sorting Platforms: Maximize uptime of Clip and Twitch systems, focusing on the stability and performance of software/sensors/computers in the production environment
• Leadership: Lead and direct the daily activities of support staff in the ongoing improvement of uptime, development, and testing of our sorting technology platforms
