About The Position

As an Embedded Systems Design Engineer II, you will be joining a multidisciplinary team focused on the development of precision sensor solutions and instrumentation. This role involves hands-on contribution to the design, implementation, and validation of embedded hardware and firmware systems used in high-performance measurement applications. The position offers the opportunity to support both ongoing product development and early-stage R&D efforts, with a focus on reliable, scalable, and maintainable embedded design practices.

Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of embedded system design, including microcontroller-based architectures and peripheral integration.
  • Working knowledge of C/C++ for embedded development, including experience with typical debugging workflows.
  • Familiarity with standard lab tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow technical procedures, and willingness to collaborate in a structured engineering environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills appropriate for cross-functional engineering collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in embedded system design, firmware development, or electronics testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with embedded development platforms such as PIC, STM32, NXP, or Renesas microcontrollers.
  • Exposure to mixed-signal design concepts including ADCs, DACs, amplifiers, and voltage/current references.
  • Familiarity with serial communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, and related system-level interfaces.
  • Practical use of design and simulation tools such as Altium Designer, LTspice, or MATLAB.
  • Ability to contribute to test execution, results interpretation, and structured reporting in support of verification or validation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design of analog and digital circuits, assist with hardware development tasks, PCB layout, BOM generation, and verification using Altium Designer and other computer-aided design tools.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineering team members to design, assemble, and test functional prototypes in alignment with system-level design inputs.
  • Participate in PCB layout processes, including footprint creation, schematic capture, component placement, and generation of Gerber files for fabrication.
  • Support system modeling, simulation (e.g., using LTspice or MATLAB), and basic performance analysis under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist with embedded firmware development tasks, including integration with hardware, functional validation, and debugging.
  • Support hardware validation through structured testing, data capture, and basic root cause analysis, with direction from senior team members.
  • Participate in internal design reviews, test plan discussions, and engineering documentation efforts.
  • Implement and maintain embedded firmware components based on defined requirements and industry-standard development practices.
  • Provide progress updates, technical observations, and test summaries to project leads and supervisors.
