Caterpillar Inc. seeks Embedded SW Sr. Engineer at its facility located at 10203 Sam Houston Park Drive, Houston, TX 77064. Responsible for directing and ensuring the proper concept, design, and development of Caterpillar Oil & Gas site solutions application software. Developing and managing projects in line with plans. Gathering and understanding the application requirements and translating them into technical requirements. Designing and developing product components. Organizing and managing testing of products. Ensuring product deficiencies are addressed. Drive product improvements in the following areas: performance, robustness, usability, field deployment, and collection of diagnostics information. Ensure organization's processes and procedures are followed. Troubleshoot system malfunctions to restore normal function. Support the application teams in software and systems troubleshooting. Responsible for providing subject matter expert support to the engineers on site.
