About The Position

Join Altera's Embedded Solutions team and work on cutting-edge FPGA-SoC devices! As an Intern in our Software Engineering department, you'll contribute to the implementation of FPGA designs and embedded software features for customer applications targeting our leading-edge FPGAs. This dynamic role provides a unique opportunity to work hands-on with hardware and software, including development kits, while gaining experience in digital design and programming. We’re looking for a motivated self-starter with strong communication and collaboration skills, who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings , etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance. $40-43/hr USD We use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applicants for the position. Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations .

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering related field.
  • Exposure to programming in C/C++, Python, or Java, with a preference for low-level C programming.
  • Relevant experience through coursework, internships, personal projects, or other hands-on learning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of embedded systems development.
