About The Position

Embedded Software & Technical Signals Engineer The Opportunity: Are you excited to apply RF quantum sensing technologies to critical national security missions? Do you enjoy the challenge of implementing quantum solutions in real-world scenarios? We have an opportunity for you to use your analytical skills to enhance quantum RF sensing operations and address national security challenges. You will engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide direct software integration and technological support. You will mentor and learn from your teammates while deploying engineering solutions through client collaboration and internal projects. Utilize your expertise in RF signal processing software development to integrate, test, and evaluate RF quantum sensing technologies. Apply core principles, theories, and concepts to provide effective solutions for practical applications. Solve complex technical problems and deliver innovative solutions. Operate with substantial independence and provide oversight or mentorship for your team’s technical competencies. Collaborate effectively with minimal supervision, overseeing and mentoring junior employees as needed. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO and will require assistance with laboratory work. This position requires the ability to travel to other U.S. locations up to 25% of the time. Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with software development languages, including Python, C, or C++
  • Experience with embedded software development, including with design, developing, and testing software for microcontrollers and specialized hardware
  • Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms or RF theory
  • Experience using Agile processes and tools, including Jira or Confluence, and using version control, including GitHub
  • Experience using Linux systems
  • Experience developing software and firmware for embedded systems
  • Ability to work in a team environment to brainstorm and innovate new ideas
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading and managing small to medium-sized engineering, integration, and testing projects
  • Experience with machine learning packages and building and testing neural network architectures using TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch
  • Experience with firmware development languages, such as VHDL, Verilog, or CoreFire
  • Experience with RF or RF photonics, software defined radios, and low noise amplifiers
  • Experience working in a laboratory with lasers, atoms, spectroscopy, and alkali metals
  • Experience developing technology business plans and roadmaps, building and managing teams to execute projects, and overseeing resources
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in a STEM field
