Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in either embedded systems development or embedded systems testing, and project management.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture, microcontrollers, and real-time operating systems.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, logic analyzers).

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Experience in regulated industries (automotive, medical devices, aerospace).
  • Knowledge of secure boot, firmware update mechanisms, and hardware-software co-design.
  • Experience managing geographically distributed teams.

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership & Execution Define and manage project scope, objectives, and deliverables for embedded software initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Drive execution across firmware, driver, and low-level software teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Coordinate with hardware, systems, validation, and manufacturing teams to align software development with overall product timelines.
  • Facilitate communication between engineers, internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Technical Well versed in C/C++ Understand and guide technical decisions related to RTOS, device drivers, bootloaders, and hardware abstraction layers.
  • Risk & Quality Management Identify and mitigate risks related to hardware dependencies, timing constraints, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure software meets performance, reliability, and safety standards Stakeholder Engagement Provide regular updates to engineering leadership, product management, and external partners.
  • Manage expectations and ensure alignment with customer and business requirements.
