Join our Software Galley Inserts and Chillers team in Lenexa, KS — where innovation meets hands-on experience. We design and develop advanced aircraft galley insert products and chiller systems that serve both commercial and military programs. If you’re ready to take the next step, your time is now! This role is onsite, in Lenexa, KS. This position may be eligible for relocation. What You Will Do: You will build, integrate, and deploy a variety of software projects, from Windows applications to embedded software for galley systems. You will gain exposure to systems engineering principles and understand how software fits into the bigger picture of product development. You will work in a hands-on engineering environment where you can turn classroom knowledge into real solutions. You will contribute directly to active programs and R&D projects at Collins Interior Systems. You will take ownership of your own project tasks or subprojects, with mentorship from experienced engineers. You will collaborate with global teams across our sites in the Netherlands, India, and the Philippines. You will participate in key software lifecycle activities, including code reviews, documentation, testing, and validation. What You Will Learn: You will learn how to work effectively with international stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams. You will learn the fundamentals of regulatory and customer compliance in aerospace software development. You will learn how to identify and drive continuous improvement in both products and processes. You will learn the foundations of aerospace innovation, contributing to next-generation galley insert and chiller products.
