We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to become a part of our Engineering organization at the Lead Design Center (LDC) in Farmington, Connecticut. This role is pivotal to our mission, focusing on software development for elevator drives. You will work within a small to medium-sized group to design, develop, and test cutting-edge embedded software for drives and other embedded devices. Additionally, you will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of our development and testing tools. We're excited about the possibility of having you on board!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of professional experience
  • Proficiency in C, C++, or equivalent programming languages
  • 5+ years of experience developing software for embedded systems and devices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving complex software issues
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a global team environment
  • Given the nature of the position, applicants must have authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with TI C2000 and ST microcontrollers using Code Composer Studio
  • Strong background in state machines, hardware abstraction layer design, memory management, and serial communications
  • Proficient in software debugging and testing with in-circuit emulators, oscilloscopes, and serial analyzers
  • Experience in motor control systems and digital signal processing
  • Knowledge of power electronics hardware design and PCB components
  • Familiar with configuration, change, and test management tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jira)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of embedded software for real-time elevator drive applications and interfaced embedded devices.
  • Operate both independently and collaboratively within a matrixed team environment, working alongside engineers across our global engineering centers.
