The Embedded Software Engineer for Remote Control and Autonomy will be responsible for developing, integrating, and testing software for embedded electronic control systems used in remote control machine applications. This role involves working within a global engineering team to advance technology in remote control and autonomy projects.

  • Develop remote control features in embedded C and C++.
  • Resolve issues through triage and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in an Agile Sprint environment.
  • Develop validation plans.
  • Coordinate with global teams including machine, systems, software, and validation teams.
  • Work effectively with a culturally diverse work group.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of relevant engineering development experience in embedded software development, systems design, or product validation.
  • Up to 4 years of experience in embedded C/C++ programming.
  • Experience in robotics, remote control, or autonomy.
  • Familiarity with datalinks (CAN, Ethernet) and associated tools (CANape, Wireshark).
  • Experience with software development tools such as git, debuggers, and compilers.
  • Linux experience is required.
  • Experience in developing embedded real-time software or systems for mobile, earthmoving, agricultural, industrial, or off-highway applications.
  • Experience with RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems).
  • Experience with remote control systems.
