Embedded Software Engineer Intern - California
About The Position
Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. The Embedded Software team is looking for someone who has a solid background in objected oriented software development. We are looking for someone how is self-motivated and who strives for greatness in their software development. You will be joining as a full member of a talented group of software engineers which deliver embedded software on medical devices that that help surgeons, and the staffs provide great surgical outcomes for their patients. As part of the team you will participate in all aspects of software product development such as feature identification and grooming, planning, execution (coding) and testing. This internship will run from May 2026 - August 2026. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 30-40 hours per week at our Santa Barbara, CA facility.
Requirements
- Progress towards a college degree in an Engineering or Software Engineering field required. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)
- Experience with Python (software language) is required.
Responsibilities
- Feature development on next generation endoscopic camera system (full team member).
- Feature development on next generation NanoScope camera product (full team member)
- Interface with Advance Manufacturing team at ACT to develop tools for the production and test of our products.
