About The Position

If you are an engineering student looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson
has an exciting opportunity for you! Based at our Eden Prairie, MN location, you
will get the opportunity to work as an Embedded Software Engineering Co-Op on a
team that will help you to grow & develop as an engineer. This is a full-time
(40 hours per week) Co-Op position starting in June 2026 and ending December
2026.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related Engineering degree
• Knowledge with C/C++ and object-oriented concepts
• Zero (0) years of related experience
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.

Responsibilities

• Work on development of software targeting custom designed hardware
• Create test utilities to hardware interfaces
• Troubleshoot and resolve firmware issues
• Work with cross-functional engineering teams
• Discover and explore new interests in your field prior to graduation
• Apply learned technical skills from the classroom to real world engineering projects
