Allied Universal® Technology Services is hiring an Embedded Technician for an automotive enterprise client to drive our mission of being the world's most trusted service provider. The technician will perform service, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on access control systems and IP-based video equipment, including electrified/non-electrified locks, card readers, IP/analog cameras, intercoms, video recorders, and wired/wireless systems. The role supports an enterprise-level client, with travel expectations in the local area.

  • Travel to various local commercial sites for the client to service, identify, repair, troubleshoot, and detect access control equipment and IP-based video security systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues efficiently and effectively to ensure company compliance, standards and building codes, as well as company safety policies and procedures.
  • Execute, document and track service-related issues through ServiceNow in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, CAD drawings and related documents for use in low-voltage applications.
  • Provide phone and online remote diagnostic support with a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Collaborate and perform tasks with other internal teams and clients as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of field experience in the electronic security industry.
  • Knowledge and experience streamlining service tickets for client nationwide.
  • Available for schedule 'on-call' duties to respond to emergency service tickets/requests.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a company issued vehicle.
  • Possession of state-specific licensing or ability to obtain and hold license once hired.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly navigate and oversee the use of multiple systems and applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills to document and report important information with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical and electronics aptitude.
  • Ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs and work on various ladder heights.
  • Highly skilled in the electronic security industry.
  • Experience and/or manufacture certifications in any of the following: Milestone or SoftwareHouse/CCURE, but others will be considered.
  • Company Vehicle + Gas Card.
