About The Position

Embedded Developer, Senior The Opportunity: Are you looking to put your problem-solving prowess to the test in a rapidly evolving systems security research and development environment? You know that embedded application developers, reverse engineers, and vulnerability analysts all play key roles in the capability development lifecycle. As an embedded developer, you’ll have the opportunity to use skills in C or C++ and assembly language, scripting language, debugging, computer architectures, and networking protocols to support our government intelligence clients. We’re looking for someone like you to have a direct impact on the nation’s security. On our team, you’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of software projects, technical capabilities, and product design. Working on an agile team of experts, you’ll perform reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis of software problems. You’ll inform operational parameters for complex systems, as well as leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to influence the delivery of your work. Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience with software development using C, C++, or proprietary languages
  • 6+ years of experience with embedded platforms such as Linux, Unix, Android, and VxWorks
  • Experience with configuration, administration, and development with Virtual Environments such as VMWare or ESXi, Open Stack, Open vSwitch, and QEMU
  • Experience with development on embedded platforms such as Linux, Unix, Android, and VxWorks
  • Experience with software reverse engineering or debugging tools such as IDAPro, OllyDbg, or gdb
  • Experience with assembly languages development or reversing
  • Knowledge of low-level systems programming concepts
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience with vulnerability analysis and exploit development
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with Assembly
  • Experience with memory safe low-level programming such as Rust
  • Knowledge of telecommunications

  • Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
  • The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
