About The Position

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking an Embedded Desktop Support Technician to support a major national laboratory. This role involves providing end-user support with processes for managing and delivering services. The candidate will be responsible for resolving incidents, service requests, and problems associated with service failures or degradations that are related to hardware and software computing devices.

Requirements

  • BS in relevant discipline plus minimum 2 years or more years of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Must have an active DOE Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Provide Unclassified and Classified Desktop, Windows, Mac, and Linux support
  • Provide Mission Desktop support
  • Provide Multi-User Room support
  • Provide Computer Builds and Deployment services
  • Provide Personnel Moves
  • Provide Desktop Computer related services
  • Provide Hardware Repair services
  • Analyze and study complex system requirements
  • Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse, domain analyses, and manage their implementation
  • Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques
  • Supervise software configuration management
