About The Position

The Mission Systems team helps civilian, military and government customers complete complex missions with intelligent and secure communications, missionized systems for specialized aircraft and spacecraft, and collaborative space solutions. The Crypto team within the Assured Solutions Engineering directorate develops advanced embedded cryptographic capabilities for U.S. military communications products, collaborating with the N.S.A. to ensure secure and trustworthy communications. As an Embedded Cybersecurity Software Engineer I, you will play a key role in the design, development, integration, and verification of these embedded encryption algorithms. The role requires proficiency in C++, Python, and embedded Linux for rapid project integration. The ideal candidate will consistently deliver superior results, meet project milestones, foster a positive work environment, thrive in collaborative team settings, and possess expertise in integrating system hardware and software components.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable working with C, C++, Python and/or Linux
  • Some experience coding in an embedded environment
  • Security focused mindset
  • Familiar with multi-threaded and object-oriented development
  • Familiar with the basics of asymmetric and symmetric encryption
