About The Position

The Front Office Manager at Embassy Suites Airport is responsible for overseeing all services provided by the Front Office department, ensuring a high level of courteous, professional, and efficient service to guests. This role involves planning, organizing, and maintaining daily operations to meet hotel standards and guest expectations, while also coaching and developing team members to enhance performance and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; college degree preferred.
  • One year of combined Front Desk and Supervisory experience in hospitality or related industry preferred.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers.
  • Basic mathematical skills and proficiency in using a calculator for moderately complex calculations.
  • Ability to listen effectively and communicate clearly in English.
  • Proficiency in accessing and inputting information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform tasks behind the front desk.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Ability to prepare complex reports of room availability and revenues generated.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and improve the performance and consistency of the Front Office department.
  • Coordinate the monitoring and discipline of all staff members, implementing a job skills training program.
  • Establish and monitor goals for team members, providing coaching and instruction as necessary.
  • Ensure team members are empowered to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Design and implement procedures for Front Office e-Check-In registration and guest recognition programs.
  • Ensure consistent interaction with guests at the Front Desk, providing a warm welcome.
  • Coordinate VIP, e-check-in, and special needs reservations, ensuring consistency with profiles and requests.
  • Monitor daily department checklists for completion and follow up on any incomplete tasks.
  • Provide constant feedback to team members, both positive and negative, and maintain updated performance files.
  • Solicit guest comments and ensure hotel goals are achieved in this area.
  • Assess the impact of business changes on the department's schedule and react accordingly.
  • Foster an environment of empowerment within the Front Office team.
