About The Position

The Email & App Marketing Associate at Shopbop is responsible for executing and optimizing email and push notification campaigns. This role involves coding, building, and testing email communications, as well as managing the email database and collaborating with various teams to enhance customer engagement through lifecycle marketing campaigns.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-2 years of experience coding
  • Knowledge of HTML with ability to code emails
  • Strong attention to detail, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge/experience in using API services
  • Experience with Email Service Providers (ESPs) - Salesforce a bonus
  • Excellent project management skills including multi-tasking, prioritization and organization
  • Hands-on, 'get-it-done,' results-driven and self-starter mentality
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills
  • Working knowledge of CSS
  • Knowledge of SQL

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Litmus or another email rendering tool
  • Experience working in an online fashion or retail setting
  • Understanding of ecommerce consumer behavior and direct-marketing principles including AB test design and analytics
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and creating processes to drive progress

Responsibilities

  • Code, build and test email communications and push notifications
  • Set up, test, QA and launch dynamic content
  • Monitor active campaigns daily and quickly troubleshoot to resolve errors
  • Design emails and fix issues utilizing HTML/CSS and SFMC developer tools
  • Refresh and modernize existing email templates on an ad-hoc basis
  • Manage calendar across multiple campaigns to ensure on-time delivery, progression of messaging, etc.
  • Execute A/B tests to continuously improve performance across email and push notifications
  • Serve as SFMC technical expert to optimize reporting, targeting, acquisition and retention opportunities
  • Develop and implement lifecycle marketing campaigns and journeys
  • Create and modify automations to improve personalization and further business needs
  • Optimize and create automated segments
  • Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
  • Manage email database, including merge, purge, dedupe, append, etc.
  • Work with Data Engineers and vendors to ensure data synchronization with other related databases
  • Work with Tech and Data Engineers to ensure data synchronization between internal systems and Salesforce
  • Provide recommendations during project discovery and planning based on existing infrastructure
  • Partner with Business Stakeholders and Technology to establish and define business, technical and functional requirements and estimates during project planning
  • Participate in working sessions with peers to review design specifications
  • Collaborate with technical consultants in the development and integration of new applications
  • Partner with the team to identify opportunities and new ideas for testing, personalizing, or launching new lifecycle campaigns to increase customer engagement and spend
